Annual meeting set for January 27

The annual Table Rock Homeowners Association meeting is set for January 27, 7 p.m., at Fire Station 41, 2251 S. Howard Street.

The meeting provides an opportunity to gather as neighbors and discuss items of mutual interest or concern.

If you have an agenda item to add, please contact Paul Jenes.

Table Rock weather station coming

weatherAttention weather geeks: The Table Rock neighborhood soon will have its own official weather station.

A solar-powered Ambient Weather WS-1200-IP station, which cost just under $300, has arrived and will be installed and calibrated before the end of January.

Neighborhood weather conditions, updated every 14 seconds, will be reported here and also on the Weather Underground network. Phone and tablet apps are available too, so you’ll be able to monitor current and historical data from many different devices.

Among the parameters measured by this weather station:

  • Outdoor temperature
  • Humidity
  • Wind speed and direction
  • Dew point
  • Rainfall
  • Barometric pressure
  • Sunrise and sunset
  • Lunar phase

“We’re looking forward to bringing the weather station online and hope it’s a valuable asset for everyone in the neighborhood,” says Kevin Waite, secretary for the Table Rock Homeowners Association.

HOA dues lowered to $60 this year

duesStill paying holiday bills? Here’s some good news to start the new year. The Table Rock Homeowners Association board is pleased to announce that dues for 2015 will be $60, down from $75 in 2014.

Treasurer Lew Krueger reports that expenses in 2015 will be less than in years past because our neighborhood was annexed into the city. That removed the direct cost of street lighting and street light repairs, allowing the board to lower the rates.

Dues cover the cost of property management, water for the common area and other neighborhood expenses detailed in the treasurer’s report.

The dues, made payable to Table Rock Homeowners Association, are due by January 31, 2015. A $25 late fee will be added after that date. You can bring dues to the annual meeting or mail to TRHOA, P.O. Box 1871, Walla Walla, WA 99362.

1 HOA board position opening

Homeowners association president Paul Jenes is resigning effective January 27. This leaves a board position open. If you would like to serve our neighborhood as a volunteer board member, please let us know of your interest.
